The News of Kiss Me Comix and indy publishers

* Serenade 0/Bountyhunter 0 O.R.'s sellout:

The official releases (O.R.) of Kiss Me Comix's Serenade #0 "Shadow of Death" Part 1, and Bountyhunter #0 "Genesis" Part1 now have reached sell out status!
Thanks in part to the busy convention schedule Kiss Me Comix has created for 2008. "What makes these "Offical Releases"?, Excessive Force creator Robert Boyd stated. "Well, these newer release now have ISBN codes which were a requirement for our distributor: Enemi/Haven Distributing. So now retailers from all over can access our product, and see actual sales numbers."

So then these are just the same books with bar codes?

"Oh,no! These books are completely different from the originals", Barbara Jenkins Serenade creator said. "With the opportunity created with Enemi, we decided to go back and fix all the errors, and add all the effects that we could not do the first time. This also gives our loyal readers an extra benefit, when we become a major publisher, the original book will have more value as we will always stand behind our earlier editions."

"We're just not taking the same ol' stuff and slapping bar coded on them.
These books (Official releases) from an artistic and written standpoint are different from the older editions. ",Rod Jenkins Bountyhunter creator said.

"It wouldn't be fair to those who have been with us from the start, nor would it be fair to ourselves. We have grown and matured, we aren't the same from when we started, we now have the opportunity to showcase ourselves to Borders, Books a Million, and other book stores. So we have to show them and all our readers, old and new exactly what Kiss Me Comix can do."

*Excessive Force Lynx, Spectrum updates slated

Kiss With the sucess of Serenade and Bountyhunter official releases, the collective whole of Kiss Me Comix's titles are going in for touch ups. "Some issues of Bountyhunter and Excessive Force really didn't turn out the way we liked.", Said Rod.
"The reviews of Excessive Force #0 were not what I was expecting, so I've been working with Ernest Posey (artist for EF #1) to go back and redraw the zero issue. So there will be consitency for the 2 part arc.", Robert Boyd said.
"Ryan and Richard [creators/artists for Lynx and Spectrum] have expressed their desire to re-do their books. Their skills have dramatically improved and now they want to improve on their previous work.", added Barbara. "The purchase of the ISBN codes has raised the bar for us as wanting to become a major publisher, so we all are looking to become better artists, writers, just better all across the board." she replied.

Excessive Force # 1: I liked most of art of Ernest Posey for: “Excessive Force # 1.” I liked how story identified Mr. Evans as Excessive Force. This should have been done in zero issue. I was not clear to characters identity. I liked some of humorous dialogue put into story. Car insurance sentence made me laugh. I felt story was quick reading. I liked how KMC was mentioned through out story. It was fun finding references on television camera for KMC News station.

I really enjoyed how video tape got to KMC station. It was not a video tape for American Idol audition. Frank Lane might be in jail for long time. I felt sorry for guard Henry Avery at Armor Tech. His loss of life was really sad. I was glad though Excessive Force was able to get out with video tape for KMC station. I also noticed other forms of Chicago media also received copies of video tape.

I felt Ernest did tremendous job on splash pages. My favorite page was second to last page. I applaud Mr. Evans for wanting to help out Chicago as superhero. My only real problem with “Choices PT 2” is that Evans would be over whelmed with only bullet proof vest. Unless of course there is some sort of secret not yet mentioned in EF comic. I wonder if Evans really does have some sort of healing power if gets shot in leg. If not occupation has huge disability risk.
